Québec sports federations

The government has official rules for recognizing Québec sports federations, and the Ministère de l’Éducation et de l'Enseignement supérieur gives them specific mandates: establish and implement a plan for the development of excellence in sports; implement initial and continuing training programs for sports officials; collaborate in the development and management of a network of competitions in Québec in their sport or sports; oversee their sport or sports in their field of activity; and represent the Québec structure for their sport or sports in the related Canadian associations.
