Learning to Be Prioritized for the 2021-2022 School Year in the Context of the Pandemic

The following documents remain applicable for the 2022-2023 school year. They serve as a planning aid for teachers in exceptional circumstances where learning conditions may have been affected by the health crisis:

These documents identify, in a comprehensive manner, the learning to be prioritized. It will be important to devote time to these elements throughout the school year in order to help students progress to the next level.

If the learning context permits it, teachers are invited to go beyond the elements presented in these documents by drawing on official published documents, in particular the Québec Education Program and the Progression of Learning.

Although the Learning to Be Prioritized documents focus only on certain subjects, the Ministère de l'Éducation would like to remind you that all the subjects and compulsory content targeted by the Basic school regulation for preschool, elementary and secondary education must continue to be taught. In all cases, it is up to teachers to determine which learning is to be prioritized in subjects and content not included in the Learning to Be Prioritized documents.

To ensure that the documents are displayed correctly, please download them to your computer and open them in a program such as Acrobat Reader, instead of consulting them in a web browser.
