École préparatoire de musique de l'Université du Québec à Montréal

The École préparatoire de musique (ÉPM) has been officially recognized by the board of directors of the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) since June 26, 1978.

The ÉPM offers a program in music theory and practice that prepares students for studies at the elementary, secondary, college and university levels.

The ÉPM's main areas of activity consist in providing private and group lessons, professional development workshops for teachers, pedagogical supervision and juries for examinations, and in hosting small concerts or recitals.

Every year the ÉPM offers:

  • classes in early musical learning and training for preschoolers and school-age children
  • classes in musical training for young adults interested in music as a means of personal development or who intend to pursue music studies at the college or university level.
