Integrating the Cultural Dimension into School - Reference for Teachers

This document is to be used as a reference for integrating the cultural dimension into school. It derives from the Educational Policy Statement Québec Schools on Course (1997), which recommended that the cultural content of the curriculum be improved. It is also consistent with the orientations of the Québec Education Program (QEP) for elementary and secondary education (2001 and 2002), which recommends the inclusion of cultural content in students' learning to enable them to broaden their world-views, construct their identities and become empowered.
