On October 27, 2016, at the first edition of the Prix d’internationalisation sponsored by Éducation internationale , 10 school boards were honoured for projects in which they demonstrated their openness to the world. The award ceremony, organized by Éducation internationale, took place in Québec City during a gala marking the 15th anniversary of the organization. Some school boards were distinguished by their international exchange programs, and others by their programs of practicums abroad.
International projects have numerous positive effects on students’ educational and career paths. These can include the development of competencies conducive to success in an international context, improved progress in mastering a second language and developing an openness to other cultures.
