Continuity Prizes (MEES)
For those who never interrupted their studies
The Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur (MEES) awards two cash prizes of $2000, one to a student enrolled in vocational training and the other to a student enrolled in technical training.
To be eligible for this prize, candidates must be 19 years of age or under at the time of enrolment in their program of study and have never interrupted their studies.
To demonstrate “continuity in their studies,” candidates must have been enrolled, in the previous year, in general education in the youth or adult sector, in a vocational training program, in a pre-university program or in a technical training program at the college level.
The objective of this prize is to provide encouragement to young women who have little experience in the job market by validating their decision to make vocational or technical training their first choice.
In addition to the answers to the general questions, the candidate’s application package must include the answer to the following question (a maximum of one page):
- During your uninterrupted studies, what were the different factors (educational, family-related or personal) or the information tools that guided you toward the program of studies that you chose?
