Consultations on the Ethics and Religious culture program of study
The Ethics and Religious Culture program aims to broaden students’ reflection on community life. By reflecting on the common good and the recognition of others, both integral components of self-knowledge, students acquire the tools they need to carry out their duties as citizens in an ethical and responsible manner. The program is compulsory from Elementary 1 to Secondary V, except for Secondary III.
The Ethics and Religious Culture program will be revised in the coming years. The main objective of this revision is to come up with new and enriching themes to completely or partially replace the content associated with religious culture.
You are therefore invited to participate in an online public consultation and to share your opinion on some of the themes that could eventually be included in Québec’s curriculum.
Your participation will help the Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur and its partners identify content to help meet students’ needs, as well as our expectations as a society.
The questionnaire will be available online from January 10 to February 21, 2020. It should take you about 15 minutes to complete.
Your answers will remain anonymous. Only staff who require this information to carry out their official duties will be given access to it. Also, the Ministère will take all necessary measures to ensure the confidentiality of the information collected, in accordance with the Act respecting access to documents held by public bodies and the protection of personal information (CQLR, c. A-2.1).
Submitting a brief
