When it launched its Policy on Educational Success, the Québec government made a commitment to create a provincial institute for excellence in education. To lead the working group tasked with making recommendations in this matter, it appointed Martin Maltais, a professor of education funding and policy, and Director of the Secteur disciplinaire des sciences de l’éducation at the Lévis campus of the Université du Québec à Rimouski (UQR).
The other members of the group are Hélène Lecavalier, a teacher with the Commission scolaire des Laurentides, and Dominic Bertrand, Director General of the Commission scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys.
As part of this consultation process, the working group is asking for your feedback on the creation, mission, responsibilities, governance structure and functioning of the provincial institute for excellence in education. The group would like organizations and the general public to submit briefs relative to these matters, because the educational success of young people and adults alike is important for all of us.
Submission of briefs
If you wish to participate in the consultation process, please submit a brief to the working group by November 17, 2017. Your brief should not exceed 5 pages.
