World Teachers' Day: October 5
Since 1994, World Teachers’ Day has been celebrated on October 5. It pays tribute to teachers in all levels of education throughout the world, and to researchers in the field of education. It is also intended to motivate governments and the people they serve to contribute sufficient financial assistance in support of teachers, and to ensure that access to education becomes a reality for the young people of today’s and tomorrow’s generations worldwide.
