Responsibility of the Ministère
The Ministère is responsible for updating the Directory of Semiskilled Trades. Each update must contain a complete list of the semiskilled trades matching the realities of the current labour marker.
The process of deciding which semiskilled trades are to be offered starts with an analysis to ensure that each trade corresponds to the current job situation. The specific skill levels are determined during the second phase. This process ensures that the selected trades and the competencies they require are relevant and do not encroach on the specialized trades taught in vocational training.
The Ministère consults its labour market partners to confirm the specific skill levels of the semiskilled trades and to validate the relevance and consistency of the related competencies. These partners come from sectorial labour committees, ministries, joint committees, private businesses and other organizations. The Ministère also consults its partners in the education system.
