Remedial activities and activities fostering student success
Remedial activities allow students who do not meet all the admission requirements for college to acquire the knowledge they lack which is considered essential for pursuing their college studies.
Activities fostering student success allow students to acquire competencies which are considered essential for pursuing college studies. In particular, they allow students to successfully complete a course and continue their educational path.
Springboard to a DCS Pathway (081.06)
All colleges are authorized to offer the Springboard to a DCS pathway. The aim is to provide students with training that enables them to enrol in or complete a program of study leading to a Diploma of College Studies (DCS).
The Springboard to a DCS offers colleges a flexible approach, enabling them to offer training tailored to the needs of their students.
The admission conditions for the Springboard to a DCS are the same as those for admission to a program of study leading to a DCS. Students may register in the Springboard to a DCS on a full-time or part-time basis in the fall, winter or summer terms, and may register for a maximum of three consecutive fall or winter terms, depending on the decision of the college in question.
University Prerequisites (080.04)
The University prerequisites pathway is designed for students who need to complete courses that are prerequisites for admission to a university program. All colleges are authorized to offer courses that fall under the prerequisites path.
Customized Training and Services for Business and Industry
Colleges may also offer other types of training, designed to respond to the diverse interests of the general public or the specific needs of businesses.
